Holiday Claims

As the number of people going on holidays abroad increases, so does the number of lawsuits, the reasons for which are diverse.

Inadequate accommodation, flight delays, double bookings, noise and hassle and injuries caused by slips and trips due to the holiday organizer’s negligence are just some of the motives for claims that we have dealt with. There are also more serious problems, often caused by poor hygiene measures and quality standards, such as food poisoning and Salmonella. Also, there are the issues that even the locals are affected by but you may not be aware of therefore not prepared for by means of appropriate immunisation, such as Legionnaires disease, Typhoid and E-Coli.

You should be taken care of at all times, including the flight, the hotel, at sea and in all public places. Even if you take part in a tour, it is the operator’s responsibility to inform you of any Health and Safety measures you may need to take during the trip. And it is the hotel’s duty to ensure that the premises are clean and safe to be in. It is in their best interest to show their commitment to you by providing the best care possible so that you enjoy your stay. After all, you spend a large amount of your earnings on a holiday and you deserve to gain great enjoyment out of it.

In many instances however, holidays are ruined by unethical principles of holiday providers, leaving you feeling stressed and vulnerable in an unfamiliar environment. The Package Travel Regulations 1992 were put into place to avoid unnecessary blunders from happening and to have grounds to stand on when claiming against holiday providers if something does happen. Working alongside these regulations, we can help clients regain some consolation by getting them remuneration, the amount of which varies in each case. Although it cannot change the fact that you had an unfortunate experience while on holiday, it means that you will not be at total loss money wise, which is only fair.

In some cases, the claim is subject to the laws of the country where the incident happened. However, you do not have to sue them in the foreign country – you can simply come to us and we will deal with the situation for you. Through experience, our highly qualified experts have gained a high level of understanding in this area, allowing you to put your mind at ease while we do the work. If you have been in this situation, contact us as soon as you are ready - we look forward to resolving your problem straight away, whatever the circumstances.
